Best Hybrid Golf Clubs

Golf Clubs

The Best Hybrid Golf Clubs in History

Hybrid golf clubs maximize the power of a wood with the elevation of an iron. Golf historians claim that Gary McCord (ex professional golfer and analyst) suggested the "hybrid" idea to TaylorMade in 2002. TaylorMade responded with the "Rescue Club".

What is a Hybrid Golf Club?

The best hybrid golf clubs are also called "utility" clubs; suggesting an all-purpose combination club that fills in where other clubs fail.

Hybrid technology has targeted the "Moment of Inertia" (MOI) and "Center of Gravity" (COG) for a more optimum impact. The best hybrid golf clubs have lowered the COG with the larger club head and added the higher "angle" iron flat face to spin the ball more rapidly. The bottom has "runners" or "rails" to plow over difficult terrain.

Recreational golfers believe the hybrid is easier to use, emphasizing the compact heads offering "forgiveness" on the swing.

Professional golfers might use the shorter shafted hybrids for better control and accuracy. The best hybrid golf clubs are lauded as cutting through windy conditions with more effective "punch shots."

Hybrid golf clubs are also divided into powerful irons and shallow-faced categories. Some companies have marketed these hybrids as a more potent "pitching wedge", designed with greater loft to get out of a tough lie.

Best Hybrid Golf Clubs According to Multiple Praiseworthy Reviews

The Adams Idea A2 OS i-Wood Hybrid series includes 2, 3 and 4 i-Wood models of 17, 19 and 23 degrees loft angle; 41.25, 40.5 and 39.753 length and 58, 59 and 60 degrees lie angle. These hybrids weigh 75 grams and are noted for a lower COG, higher MOI, and great trajectory.

The Callaway FT Fusion Hybrid series includes 2H, 3H, 4H and 5H models of 18, 21, 24 and 27 degrees loft angle; 40.75, 40.25, 39.75 and 39.25" length and 58.5, 59, 59.5 and 60 degrees lie angle. These hybrids weigh 69, 71 or 73 grams. They have "tungsten-infused soles". This hybrid is one of the most popular due to its "feel" and ball trajectory.

The Nickent 4DX Ironwood Hybrid series includes a number of models of 14, 15.5, 17, 18.5, 20, 21.5, 23, 24.5, 26 and 29 degrees loft angle; 41.25, 40.75, 40, 39.25, 38.5 and 38.53 length and 59, 59, 59, 59.5, 59.5, 60, 60, 60.5, 60.5 and 61 degrees lie angle. This hybrid offers increased MOI and a "flatter trajectory".

The Ping G10 Hybrid series includes models of 15, 18, 21, 24, 28 and 32 degrees loft angle; 41, 40.5, 40, 39.5, 39 and 38.53 length and 58, 58.75, 59.5, 60.25, 61 and 61.75 degrees lie angle. These hybrids are known for "versatile heads" and a "higher launch".

The TaylorMade R7 CGB Max Burner Rescue Hybrid series includes models of 19, 22 and 25 degrees loft angle; 40, 39.5 and 393 length and 60.5, 61 and 61.5 degrees lie angle. This hybrid has a shallow clubface with "high launch" and "high spin".

Test out the feel of the golf club. Find a good hybrid to improve your game.

The Take Away - Starting Your Golf Swing

The Take Away - Starting Your Golf Swing

Golf Clubs

We're going to go through the first half of the backswing. Every part of your golf swing is important, but if you don't start your swing correctly, it's almost impossible to finish correctly.

If you followed lesson three correctly, you will be set up with a proper stance, the grip end of your golf club pointing to your belt buckle, which in turn will place your head in the correct position. Your spine will also be in the correct position, if your grip end is pointing towards your chin, your spine is to long, if your grip end is pointing lower than your belt buckle, your spine is bent over to much. More importantly your golf club is soled on the ground with the correct amount of loft.

You're ready to start your backswing! The take away is one piece movement, the clubhead, shaft, your hands, arms and right shoulder move in one piece at the exact same time as you get back to the 9:o'clock position.

Both knees are flexed, and during the backswing the right knee never changes position. The left knee however moves towards the right knee as a result of the upper body turning and the lower body resisting this turn, the left knee never passes the golf ball in the backswing.

Golf swing tips:

When you get to the 9:o'clock position stop and check to see where the toe of the club head is pointing, it should be pointing to the sky.

As you swing back away from the golf ball the club head must swing back on an arc which is inside the straight line to the target. When the golf club travels back on the correct path the combination of the arms and hands will be able to swing the golf club back to the correct position at the top of the backswing as long as the right shoulder turns out of the way.

Golf swing tips:

The right shoulder must turn out of the way, not tilting. It is very difficult to get to 9:o'clock with the right shoulder tilted.

The 9:o'clock position is half way back in your backswing. This is a good time to stop, take a look around and check everything is in place. The golf club should be parallel to the target line, club head pointing up to the sky, right shoulder turning.

Golf swing tips:

At the start of your golf swing, think about turning your right shoulder out of the way to allow the arms to swing back, this will make you turn on your axis, and not sway back.

From the 9:o'clock position the golf club must continue up on an arc. This can only happen as you continue to turn the right shoulder out of the way. The shoulders must continue to turn allowing the arms hands and golf club to swing up to the top of your golf swing.

Senior Golf Clubs - What to Keep in Mind When Considering Senior Golf Clubs

Senior Golf Clubs - What to Keep in Mind When Considering Senior Golf Clubs

Golf Clubs

Golf is a healthy low-impact sport which is perfect for people of all ages like juniors and seniors, so long as they can swing a club. Golf club manufacturers know that there are a fair number of older players still out there in the fairways. That is why manufacturers make a line of golf clubs rated for older people. This type of equipment belongs to a category called Senior Golf Clubs.

The main difference between Senior golf clubs and regular clubs is mainly in the flex. There is greater amount of flex designed in the shafts of Senior golf clubs. This flexing action increases the potential energy of the swing and when the club head strikes the ball, the flex of the shaft acts like a spring, adding more power to the impact.

It is still important to match your golf club to your style of playing - even though you belong to the so-called seniors group. If you still have the speed of your swing, you might not require much flex. The potential energy of a flexing shaft is only wasted on a fast swing. The shaft's flex gets exaggerated and the springing action happens late after impact, resulting in decreased distance and accuracy. If you find it confusing to get a proper match between your swing and the amount of flex in your club, having more flex in your club is always safer than having a stiff shaft.

So if your competitive drive in golf is still there, Senior golf clubs can definitely help you maintain, or even improve, the level of your game.

Golf Clubs

Here are a few tips from one of the Callaway golf club issues:

1. Before you strike the ball, simply focus on your balance and be comfortable with your stance.

2. Try and keep the whole golf swing in one smooth movement.

3. Maintain the angle of your wrists, when dropping the club into the hitting position.

4. Point your right shoulder towards the target keep your back straight. You should be focussing on your follow through.

So it is well worth getting hold of a copy and having a look through it for more tips and advice.

As well as the magazine, Callaway produce what is arguably the most popular driver available in the world. The Callaway golf club - Big Bertha. Witha large head it has become the favourite driver of many of the top professionals in the world.

Golf Ball Comparison - How to Select the Right Golf Ball

Golf Ball Comparison - How to Select the Right Golf Ball

Golf Clubs

The buzz in golf is all about the drivers, irons and the putters. But, we often forget another piece of golf equipment which is just technologically advanced as the rest - the golf ball. All golf balls like clubs are not all the same. They differ in a variety of features such as core composition, outer layer covering, compression etc. Well, which ball is right for you? The only way to find out is to do a golf ball comparison.

There are many different balls available for many different types of golfer, low compression balls are generally suited for novice golfers, and while high compression ones offer the best results for the tour pros.

The compression of the golf ball determines the core reaction you get when striking the ball. The lower the compression the less explosive the reaction, the higher the compression the more the ball will zoom off the tee. What is known as a softer ball or low compression somewhere in the range of between 70 and 80 units. This ball will not have the distance that a high compression like 100 would give you. The lower compression balls are actually great for control, and are ideal for short game shots like wedges and high irons.

Medium compression balls in the 90-compression range carry more distance than their 70-80 compression counterparts, yet still have a softer feel on contact and offer greater control.

And finally we get to the high compression such as the 100; this ball is for maximum velocity and distance. This ball is not easily manageable by the average golfer, as it has explosive tendencies. This ball will give you the distance to carry the fairway on a long par 4 or relatively short par 5, yet will be more temperamental when it comes to keeping it in play.

Besides compression, we also have to keep in mind the number of pieces used to make the golf ball, the number of dimples and any other features that help in control or feel.

A Golf Player's Guide to Buying Quality Golf Clubs

A Golf Player's Guide to Buying Quality Golf Clubs

Golf Clubs

Golf players generally need to have the right clubs and golf accessories to perform well in golf. This explains why it necessitates some golfing wisdom and some know how in buying a new set of golf clubs. If you have just been hooked by the addicting sports and you are looking for new golfing sets, some basic know how will help you. Here a few things to remember when buying golf clubs:

Know which golf club is right for you. Take into consideration your body size when buying golf clubs. The gold clubs that are most appropriate for your body size are ideally those that measure the same size as the length from your navel to the floor. This means that if you are big or tall enough, the standard sets will not do well with you. Another way to identify the appropriate club for you is to try golf clubs before purchasing them. This will give you an idea if you will be comfortable with a particular club or if you will have a better swing with another.

Learn which golf clubs are the best. This does not mean looking for the most popular and most expensive brands in the market. This means asking friends who play golf what particular golf clubs they are most comfortable with. You may also check what kind of clubs good and experience players are playing. You can also get an idea which golf clubs are the best by reading golf magazines, searching about golf clubs and accessories in the internet, and evaluating users' reviews which are available in some online merchant sites. Seeking advice from a golf pro, however, is not advisable because some of them may be endorsing particular brands in the market.

Take into consideration your needs as a player and your available resources when setting your budget. When you are on the lookout for golf clubs and accessories, you will be encountering a wide array of golf club prices. Knowing your needs as a player and your available resources will help you determine the appropriate amount that you have to spend for golf clubs and accessories. Buying expensive clubs is okay as long as you have lots of money and if you intend to engage in the sports more often. If you don't intend to play much and you have a limited budget, however, buying expensive golf clubs is not advisable. You may instead look for cheaper brands or second hand golf clubs.

Golf clubs are necessary for you to enjoy and excel in the game. If you have finally made up your mind to buy a golf club set for yourself, remember to take these tips in consideration. This will have you buying the best and appropriate club for you that your resources can afford.
